ServiceNow said it will add health and safety testing applications and new mobile experiences to its Safe Workplace Suite.
ServiceNow has added this feature while steadily building its Safe Workplace Suite during the COVID-19 pandemic. With the reopening of offices, enterprise software vendors have flocked to workplace safety. ServiceNow, IBM, Salesforce and Zebra Technologies are just a few companies targeting this field.
Since the launch of the Safe Workspace Suite in May, ServiceNow has released 11 versions of its workspace application. Blake McConnell, senior vice president of work flow products for ServiceNow employees, said that since the emergence of COVID-19, the company has updated its rhythm twice a month.
McConnell said: “We are strictly releasing the cadence, and we will continue.” “We have solved this problem through agile delivery and agile listing.”
McConnell said that part of the pace of dealing with the pandemic is reality, but at this time ServiceNow’s approach has become people’s memory. He said: “This gives us super responsiveness.”
ServiceNow said that nearly 800 customers have downloaded ServiceNow’s Safe Workplace application. One of the NBA and WNBA’s reference customers is the NBA and WNBA. When they restart the bubbling season, they use the company’s software to perform workflow and health checks.
For the latest update, the ServiceNow health and safety testing application is designed to simplify the process of requesting and receiving test results from employees. Employees will be able to submit test preferences, test type, location and schedule. Employees can submit test results and clarify health and safety procedures.
Deepak Bharadwaj, vice president and general manager of ServiceNow’s legal and workplace business unit, said that health and safety testing applications are built on the theory that COVID-19 testing will become faster and cheaper. Prior to this release, the system relied on employee self-reporting.
He said: “This is because the test is expected to play a greater role.” Bharadwaj said employees will control what they report to the company.
In addition to health and safety applications, ServiceNow also introduced a “safe workplace” experience for Now Mobile. The mobile-first design aims to make it easier to complete health checks through investigations, setting up visits, reserving space and requesting protection equipment.
ServiceNow also stated that it is integrating with Zebra MotionWorks Proximity, which provides contact tracking for customers using Zebra devices. As mentioned earlier, Zebra MotionWorks Proximity will issue an audible warning when social distancing requirements are violated. Proximity tracking enables companies to enforce restrictions.
Bharadwaj said that ServiceNow can track certain contacts through proximity, but relies on integration to get more data.
