CrowdStrike integrates with ServiceNow program to enhance incident response

CrowdStrike

CrowdStrike announced today that it has joined the ServiceNow® Service Graph Connector Program, which is the new name in the Technology Partner Program.

As part of this move, users can now integrate device data from the CrowdStrike Falcon platform into their incident response process, which can improve security and IT operational results.

The Service Graph Connector program uses ServiceNow’s technology and engineering technology to provide a way to bring third-party data into the configuration management database (CMDB).

“ServiceNow leads the future of work by creating great experiences for the enterprise,” said Jeff Hausman, Vice President of ServiceNow and General Manager of IT Operations Management, Security and CMDB.

“We are very pleased that CrowdStrike has integrated its Service Graph Connector to improve the visibility of the attack surface and device inventory so that customers can easily use ServiceNow for better security and IT response.”

CrowdStrike’s service graph connector enables customers to:

Gain control and visibility

Organizations can use a scanless asset inventory system to control the environment to fully understand their attack surface and address perceived security vulnerabilities.

Reduce response time

Users can expect timely responses to prevent the incident from becoming a violation. This means that responders can access meaningful asset data in a format integrated with their existing platforms and formats.

Easy to set up, improve efficiency

Customers can get instructive settings and user-modifiable mappings, allowing quick settings and customizable experiences. The integration supports adding new fields when they are published to the CrowdStrike application programming interface (API) without upgrading.

ServiceNow Service Graph is a system of record for next-generation digital products and services that can address the entire technology stack from infrastructure to application layer.

It includes ServiceNow’s CMDB, a repository of all infrastructure, relationship and configuration management information.

With Service Graph, IT organizations can use a broad and in-depth data foundation to manage the entire life cycle of digital products and services.

In addition, it is the foundation of all ServiceNow products, allowing customers to combine technical components, people, and processes to form a service-oriented view.

This connected approach enables customers to use their existing CMDB investments to rationalize investment portfolios, automate development, simplify cloud and security operations, manage risks and understand ROI, thereby driving high-value business results.

“Accessing and manipulating endpoint device data is critical to speeding up response to security-related incidents,” said Matthew Polly, vice president of global business development for the CrowdStrike Alliance.

“CrowdStrike’s service graph connector on ServiceNow provides a seamless bridge between device data, asset management and incident response processes, enabling customers to stay one step ahead of threats.”
