Heng Mok has been appointed as the new chief information security officer (CISO) for Asia Pacific, including Australia and New Zealand, for cloud security firm ZScaler.
Based in Melbourne, Heng Mok will support organizations in the Asia Pacific region on their journey to digital transformation as they leverage the cloud, AI, data analytics, and remote working.
Mok joins Zscaler with over 20 years of experience working in some of Australia’s largest IT transformation programs in a variety of industries, including financial services, government, and telecommunications. He also has extensive security experience in several disciplines including, risk management, compliance, technical design, infrastructure security, process architecture, application security, security architecture, and strategy.
Most recently, Mok was CISO at AGL Australia, Australia’s largest integrated energy company. During his more than five years with the company, he was responsible for architecturing their cybersecurity strategy and delivering a board-funded business case to lift overall cyber maturity to support digital transformation and agile working methods.
Mok also previously worked in senior security architect and consulting roles at NAB, ANZ, and IAG and earlier in his career was also a senior consultant at PricewaterhouseCoopers.

Zscaler also announced the appointment of Paul Eccleston as international vice president for partners and alliances for EMEA and APAC.
The company said Eccleston’s appointment will accelerate the growth of the Zscaler channel organization in the regions of Europe, Middle East and Africa and Asia Pacific.
In his new role, Eccleston assumes responsibility for all channel segments and will lead and grow a world-class channel team to build successful service provider relationships, system integrators, value added resellers, MSPs and alliance partners. ecosystems in EMEA and APAC.
