MTN Group is rebranding, starting with adopting a new company logo and tagline to cover everything the company does.
Information available on TechEconomy.ng indicates that this move is part of MTN Group’s Ambition 2025 and the company is now preparing to launch a major rebrand on February 27, simplifying its logo and using “Hello” instead of its old tagline, “Wherever you go”.
With the new logo, MTN removed the familiar white, yellow, and red text in a blue oval and opted for a simplified blue over yellow logo.
“MTN” is written in simple block letters with an oval drawn in a blue outline around the characters, all on a yellow background.
“Y’ello” is written in stylish white text on the same yellow background.
As the rebranding begins outside MTN’s headquarters in Johannesburg, the change will be the whole team.
Nompilo Morafo, MTN’s Chief Sustainability and Corporate Affairs Officer, said the new look is in line with their evolution from a telecommunications company to a technology company.
“Our commitment and focus to accelerate Africa’s growth is seen by MTN showcasing a refreshed brand identity and campaign from 27 February,” Morafo said.
