One of California’s leading emergency entities spent millions on IT products and services last month-most of it related to 911 services.
The California Office of the Governor of Emergency Services (Cal OES) only made one purchase of IT services in February. It spent exactly $ 8 million on a three -year contract with CyraCom International, for “FY 21/22 911 Translation Services.” This likely represents the renewal of CyraCom’s partnership with OES’s 911 emergency phone system; a similar three-year agreement not to exceed $ 5 million expired Jan. 31. The new contract will run from Feb. 1-Jan. 31, 2025.
Cal OES made 26 purchases of IT goods last month. Its five most expensive purchases were exactly $ 404,342.16. Here, along with the rotation, is what that money paid for, based on data in the State Contract Registration and Procurement System:
- $ 156,000 to Natix for subscriptions to VMware’s Workspace ONE Advanced edition. Cal bought OES in Feb. 4.
- $ 96,000 to HF Tech Services, for ServiceNow’s IntegrationHub, which enables the implementation of third-party APIs during an event. Cal bought OES in Feb. 12.
- $ 60,000 to Allied Network Solutions for corporate management and IT consulting. Cal bought OES in Feb. 28.
- $ 52,000 in Ultrex Business Products for Konica Minolta digital printers. Cal bought OES in Feb. 4.
- $ 39,000 to Authentic8 for Silo for Research, its platform that enables secure, anonymous research. Cal bought OES in Feb. 11.
