- Support the implementation of key work strategies and programs throughout DVC Research
- Full time, fixed term contract until June 2023 (potentially extended)
- $ 128k to $ 144k plus 17% Superannuation
About opportunity
As a Project manager, you will support the implementation of key work strategies and programs throughout the university’s Research Portfolio. Your work will show that you collaborate with other project teams and a wide range of stakeholders across the University.
Your responsibilities are:
- be part of the Strategic Initiatives team, reporting to the Director of Research Post Award
- manage the development and implementation of project plans to meet objectives
- develop a project management framework to monitor project implementation, progress and delivery
- manage project finances against budget and coordinate external funding opportunities
- manage project stakeholders and work with project teams to ensure the project is delivered
- coordinate contractual and business development matters for Research Portfolio projects
- maintain good knowledge of university record management systems such as IRMA and ServiceNow
About you
- tertiary qualifications in project management (PMBOK or Prince2) and/or equivalent work experience
- proven experience managing a diverse group of reports and stakeholders on large or complex projects
- well-formed stakeholder engagement, negotiation and interpersonal skills
- demonstrated the ability to work independently under broad direction and be self-motivated as well as to work successfully in a team environment, and take initiative
- knowledge of financial management of projects; managing budgets, controlling revenue and expenditure
- an understanding of management structures and project management related to research
- experience in higher education/tertiary sector, research institute or in a complex, multifaceted organization
- experience in contracts, intellectual property and commercialization of research will be highly valued
