technology investment company Acacia Group acquired The Baer Groupproviding tech consulting and services to customers to the public and private sector, for an undisclosed amount as part of efforts to address the growing shortage of technical talent needed to support the digital transformation efforts of government and industry clients.

We see immediate opportunities for Baer to support the clients of the current Acacia company in their need for skilled technical talent, ” Craig Dawsonco-founder and partner of Acacia, said in a statement published Wednesday.

We will also invest in expanding the size and scope of Baer’s talent network to grow its current blue-chip customer base, ”Dawson added.

Founded in 1997, based in Atlanta The Baer Group works with federal systems integrators and provides subject matter experts and specialist resources in support of U.S. government programs. The company’s project teams have expertise in a range of enterprise tech platforms, including SAP, AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, Oracle, ServiceNow and Salesforce.

Peter Aaron, president of The Baer Group, said that as Acacia’s new portfolio company, Baer will build its team, expand and diversify its product partnerships and technical capabilities and grow in size to more well support customers.
