Berger Paints Stock exchanges were informed that an accidental fire broke out at its Howrah Factory affecting the exit gate and the raw material handling area. The production area remained completely unaffected. Twenty -one employees were injured in an attempt to put out the fire. Most of them are out of danger at present, it said. . Some of them are critical and under close observation. The cause of the incident is under investigation. However, preliminary investigation points towards an electrical short circuit in an AC unit. Factory operations have been temporarily suspended but are expected to resume within a few days.
CRISIL Ratings has changed its outlook on the bank’s long -term facilities Aditya Birla Fashion And Retail Limited (ABFRL) to ‘Positive’ from ‘Stable’ and reaffirmed the ratings to ‘CRISIL AA’. Short -term ratings were reaffirmed to ‘CRISIL A1+’. Khed Sinnar Expressway Limited (KSEL), a subsidiary of IL&FS Transportation Networks Limited has built the Khed – Sinnar Section of the road in Maharashtra. KSEL entered into a Settlement Agreement with the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) on April 6, 2022, for the foreclosure of the Concession Agreement at a compensation of Rs 891.59 crore. As per the above, NHAI has now paid an amount of Rs 736.07 crore to KSEL’s escrow account making the required deductions. The Project will be awarded to NHAI in due course.

Vedanta has pledged a 5.77 per cent stake in Hindustan Zinc Ltd for a term loan of ₹ 8,000 crore. The company further said that the earlier encumbrance created by Vedanta that combined with 64.92 per cent of Hindustan Zinc’s paid-up share capital, to secure the syndicated term loan facility of ₹ 10,000 crore, has been released.
