Concurrency: Kate Weiland named COO

BROOKFIELD, Wis., July 21, 2022 — Concurrency Inc., a Microsoft-focused IT services company, announced the appointment of Kate Weiland as chief operating officer. In his new role, Weiland is focused on creating innovation that brings value to Concurrency’s partners and clients, and cultivating the next generation of tech talent.

Concurrency specializes in digital transformation, data, AI, apps and security, and provides business consulting, organizational change management and digital operations to mid-to enterprise-scale clients, with a strong presence in the manufacturing sector. Microsoft, ServiceNow and HashiCorp are among the company’s key partners.

Weiland joined Concurrency in 2012, holding various strategic and operational roles over the past decade where he oversaw talent acquisition, training and development, performance management, marketing, university and intern programs , and community outreach, and also works closely with technical delivery and sales leaders to set company strategy and direction. Prior to joining Concurrency, he honed his strategic operational skills as a partner of Elite Human Capital and founder of C&C Recruiting and Consulting, working with multiple enterprise organizations to meet critical IT hiring demands.

Weiland is passionate about community service, serving on the board of directors of the Woman & Girls Fund of Waukesha and as a mentor and inspirational speaker for young women pursuing careers in technology. He is a member of TEMPO Milwaukee, a member of the Summerfest Tech steering committee and represents Concurrency at the MKE Tech Hub.

Additionally, Weiland supports Elmbrook LAUNCH, a career-based learning program for high school students. He holds a bachelor of arts degree in communications/public relations from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
