Lloyd Gordon commented on the acquisition:
“When I set up the business in 2015, I did it with one thought, to build a global cloud recruitment powerhouse that everyone could be proud of. Despite the global pandemic that hit a few years later, the company has gone from strength to strength Throughout the Covid crisis, we have been committed to doing everything we can to support not only the growth of the business, but also our clients, candidates, and people. recruitment firms. I believe in having faith in yourself and those around you and it really paid off, resulting in the company emerging from the pandemic in a strong financial position that made this acquisition possible.
“The solutions we offer have diversified since the company was formed and moving into the Microsoft recruitment space was a natural step for the business. Having seen the growth of Cognitive in my days as a recruiter before I started of my own Recruitment Consultancy, I knew they were leaders in their field, but when I spoke with Jon, the true potential of this deal hit home. The cultural fit between the two brands and the our shared focus on supporting our people is interconnected. The new group offers a unique opportunity to create value for each of our high-performing employees. I want to thank our employees who probably got us through the toughest time the company had to date and helped us get to where we are today and embrace Cognitive Gro up to the family.”
Jon Keen CEO of Cognitive Group added:
“This deal bodes well for the future of both businesses as we aim to grow Cognitive and the wider Focus Cloud Group globally. Our staff own 20% of the Cognitive brand and this investment enabled all shareholders to benefit, with further significant equity opportunities set for this next phase of expansion. While there have been other opportunities to gain brand investment in the past, the cultural that fit never quite hit the mark for us, but with Lloyd and the Focus Cloud team, there is an incredible match in visions and values that make it a perfect fit. Since we launched Cognitive Group in 2007, our focus has always been on providing the best experience for our colleagues, our clients and our candidates, and Lloyd’s passion and enthusiasm not only p ara in the business but perhaps most importantly, the people who make Focus Cloud a success, respond to what the Cognitive Group believes. The team at Cognitive – which has done a particularly good job during the challenges of the past three years – all look forward to supporting the growth aspirations of our clients, our candidates and the new Focus Cloud Group in the next year.”
