Weekly BCN October 26, 2020 vol.1847 published
On October 1, ServiceNow Japan opened the Japanese version of the “ServiceNow Store”, which provides applications developed by ISV partners. As part of the ISV program launched in July last year, this is the world’s first unique website in a language other than English.
The Japanese version of the store was implemented in response to Japanese requirements. It is said that preparations will begin around the spring of 2019. Its function is to place a button to contact the seller on the website, so it is easier to contact ISV partners compared with the English version store.
Satoshi Endo, general manager of the ISV promotion department at the company’s partner business headquarters, said: “In the past, products developed by Japanese ISV partners were also listed in the English version of the store. English is one of the obstacles faced by Japanese customers., We have created an environment where you can view Japanese products and try them right away.”
As of October 15, 11 types of applications have been released, and two other types are expected to be added later this month. Endo said: “We hope to increase this number to 20 by December this year and 50 by the end of next year.”
Currently, only domestic ISV partner products are listed, but if certain conditions are met (such as having a sales office in Japan), then overseas ISV partner products will also be added. In the future, we also hope to provide OEM products developed on ServiceNow’s PaaS “Now Platform”.
Mr. Endo said: “Each country and region has unique business rules, and customer needs cannot be supported by our products alone. Through our partner ecosystem, we have released a reliable application that The program has been strictly certified in the Japanese-language shop. However, I want to expand the range that customers can use.” (Saidou Shuhei)
