The Fulfillment Center within ICT Digital Services is looking to hire an enthusiastic candidate for the position of Senior Technical Support Officer within the Deliver and Deploy team. Deliver and Deploy enables the Fulfillment Center to implement a wide range of services to its customers by facilitating the implementation of ICT products and solutions, as well as playing a key role in maintaining compliance in the customer’s ICT estates.
The successful candidate will be expected to work primarily from home or our office at Preston County Hall, on software delivery and license compliance tasks. They will be responsible for ensuring that work is assigned and allocated, resources are appropriate, and will be involved in project work planning. Ideal candidates will demonstrate that they possess the following:
- Ability to work across multiple ICT disciplines.
- Commitment to service delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Manage all tasks and tasks within a small team of Technical Support Officers.
- Facilitate and be a point of escalation and guidance for TSOs working in the team.
- Understanding of software licensing and asset management, including deployment procedures.
- Experience with relevant technical applications, such as Microsoft Endpoint Center Configuration Manager, Microsoft Intune, Snow License Manager, is desirable.
- Evidence of logical problem-solving skills to understand, test and resolve technical issues.
- Excellent keyboard, mouse, and telephony skills with effective oral and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of IT service management process and related applications, such as ServiceNow.
- Ability to use standard ICT software, including email, word processing, spreadsheets, and databases.
- Commitment to cooperation based on sharing ideas, knowledge, resources, mutual understanding and trust.
In addition, you may be required to perform other responsibilities or duties within the team where this is compatible with the grade of the post.
