McAfee’s open API framework enables organizations to respond to threats faster while reducing costs

McAfee’s

McAfee announced the launch of MVISION Marketplace, MVISION API and MVISION Developer Portal, which are part of the MVISION platform, which will enable customers to quickly and easily integrate McAfee and Trusted Security Innovation Alliance (SIA) partner applications as well as privately developed The application is integrated into the current security environment.

This enables the security team to quickly resolve security vulnerabilities in its architecture and easily improve the security posture. The newly launched open API framework enables organizations to automate the MVISION platform (ePolicy Orchestrator) functions and integrate with their IT and security operations to respond to threats faster while reducing overall operating costs.

In many security environments, IT and Security Operations Center (SOC) teams lack unified information, spend too much time on routine operations, and lack automation.

By using McAfee cloud security tools, both customers and partners can deliver automated security results through the components of the platform (including MVISION Marketplace, MVISION developer portal and MVISION API).

These cloud-delivered products are key components of the recently released MVISION Extended Detection and Response (XDR) solution, which can accelerate the collaborative work of McAfee and SIA partner solutions to achieve better security effects.

  • Movie market -An application market that enables McAfee and ecosystem partners to provide customers with pre-integrated industry best solutions.
  • MVISION Developer Portal -A portal where application developers first build, test and certify their applications, and then use them on the MVISION Marketplace, or for customers to develop and deploy their private applications.
  • MVISION API -A single, ultra-large-scale global security application programming interface that provides real-time visibility and response to the McAfee product portfolio. Customers and partners can now view what McAfee sees, know what McAfee knows, and what work can be performed through this API.

Javed Hasan, McAfee’s global head of product strategy and alliances, said: “In today’s rapidly changing business and threat landscape, companies need to adopt new technologies to help address emerging threats and protect all their assets.”

“Time is of the essence for defending against threats, and companies need the ability to integrate and deploy new solutions. With the new Marketplace, Developer Portal and API, we enable customers to quickly and easily implement the security tools they need.”

The MVISION market is being launched with the best partners to complement customers’ existing security solutions. Customers can easily search according to the following categories: Endpoint protection and Attivo network in Active Directory, Siemplify in SOAR, ServiceNow in SOC and IT, Seclore in data-centric security, ThreatQuotient in SOC, and in SOC IBM QRadar and others.

Jeff Hausman, Vice President of ServiceNow Security and CMDB ITOM, said: “Elaborate prevention, detection and remedial measures are critical to effective scale and results.”

The MVISION composable platform connected to the ServiceNow platform can help security teams with limited resources simplify the investigation and response to more use cases. It can establish real-time links between numerous data sources and investigation processes, and directly link to workflows for remediation and incident management through security and IT. “

Marc Feghali, vice president of product management at Attivo Networks, said: “As demonstrated by the MITER ATT&CK framework, McAfee MVISION EDR and Attivo EDN are comprehensive solutions that provide outstanding endpoint security.” Provide innovation to achieve the best endpoint protection and lateral movement threat detection.”

“The changing threat landscape requires network professionals to prioritize the integration and interoperability of existing tools and services,” said Matt McCormick, ThreatQ’s senior vice president of business and enterprise development.

“The combination of McAfee products and the ThreatQ platform expands the security ecosystem and enables customers to solve this practical problem through an open security architecture.”

“It is critical to provide customers with a fast and simple ability to deploy Siemplify to meet their SOAR needs,” said Amos Stern, co-founder and CEO of Siemplify. “We are happy to be part of the MVISION market to meet these needs.”

“Threat protection and data protection functions create a perfect security posture. Seclore embedded in the McAfee ePO framework can automatically protect customer data through operations called from McAfee DLP, Email Prevent, and/or MVision Cloud,” said Seclore CEO Vishal Gupta .

“Data tracking across networks, devices, and applications is over and replaced by persistent protection and tracking of data and its usage. This is another example of what the best technology can do together.”

The MVISION Marketplace solution includes complete endpoint protection, complete network protection, complete cloud protection, complete data protection and complete SOC security.

The benefits of customers and partners include:

  • Quick assessment -Customers can evaluate McAfee and partner applications within a few minutes, and then put them into production through simple purchase steps.
  • Easy to build –Customers can build customized applications that are fully embedded with McAfee and partner IP.
  • Simplify deployment -Partners and McAfee can jointly demonstrate and POC market-leading solutions, which can be deployed in production within minutes.
