Cognizant acquired ServiceNow partner Linium from Ness Digital Engineering backed by Rohatyn Group. The financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

The transaction between Cognizant and Linium is expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2021. By then, approximately 150 Linium employees will join Cognizant’s global ServiceNow business.
Cognizant acquires Linium: ServiceNow IT Service Management (ITSM) expertise
Linium is headquartered in Albany, New York, and also has operations in Canada, India, and the United Kingdom. Linium is widely known in the ServiceNow partner ecosystem. The main honors include: ServiceNow Americas IT Workflow Partner of the Year in 2019, and ranking first in HFS Research’s “Top 10 Voices of ServiceNow Service Customers in 2019” report.
Cognizant’s ServiceNow practice is also deeply rooted in the market. Cognizant pointed out that, in fact, the global ServiceNow practice ranked second in the HFS report and was named one of the leaders in the Everest Group ServiceNow Services PEAK Matrix assessment 2021 released in October 2020.
Linium has more than 300 ServiceNow certifications, and more than one-third of Linium customers are Fortune 100 companies. The company did not disclose how much of its revenue comes from one-time project work and recurring revenue management services.

Linium is Cognizant’s seventh cloud-related acquisition since January 2020. Many transactions are concentrated in the cloud, data and artificial intelligence, digital engineering and the Internet of Things. The company said that overall, Cognizant has announced approximately $1.4 billion in acquisitions in these areas in the past 12 months.
