ServiceNow has announced that it will take over AI expert Element AI. Through strategic acquisitions, the company hopes to improve the AI capabilities of its cloud platform Now. Companies should be able to use artificial intelligence to simplify and automate their work processes without having to develop artificial intelligence applications themselves-many companies just lack the necessary expertise.
ServiceNow started as a provider of IT service management software (ITSM), but at the same time expanded its Now platform in the direction of enterprise service management (ESM) (more on the market overview of this service management platform). This means that the company’s previous manual processes can be converted into digital workflows. ServiceNow provides templates for workflows in the areas of IT service management, human resource management, and customer service, and companies can also implement their own applications and workflows.
