ServiceNow expands strategic partnership with Microsoft through new collaboration apps in Teams

Dubai, UAE, September 22, 2021: ServiceNow today announced the expansion of its strategic partnership with Microsoft to enhance the capabilities of employees and allow them to continue to explore new ways of working. As part of the ServiceNow Now Platform Rome release, the company is launching a new collaboration application for its employee center that integrates with Microsoft Teams and provides a simplified employee experience in a mixed work environment. The two companies also announced expanded investment in ServiceNow workflow and team co-innovation and listing efforts.

ServiceNow’s new employee center will be available as a collaboration application that can be directly embedded in Teams. Collaboration applications are a new class of Teams applications that appear in chats, channels, and meetings in rich ways. The Employee Center provides employees with a single, unified portal to find information, obtain help across departments (including IT, human resources, facilities, procurement, and legal), and request the services they need. Through the Teams application, employees can directly access the portal during the workflow.

ServiceNow and Microsoft have worked closely for more than a decade to create a superior work experience and increase productivity through more than 30 native integrations of the two companies’ complete products. As part of the expanded partnership, ServiceNow has adopted Microsoft Teams for chat, meetings and collaboration, and plans to fully deploy for its 15,000 employees worldwide by the end of September 2021. Microsoft is already using ServiceNow IT Service Management (ITSM) and ServiceNow virtual agents to integrate with Teams to simplify the workflow of the entire enterprise and resolve IT incidents and employee IT issues and questions more quickly.
