Odysseus is a consulting company headquartered in Amsterdam, focusing on ServiceNow, IT business and project portfolio management. It has been acquired by Deloitte. From October 2021, the 30-person company will continue to be part of the technical department of Deloitte Consulting.
The service provided by ServiceNow is one of the pioneers of Odysseus. ServiceNow is a popular PaaS company in the management of various industry organizations, developing and providing a platform for digitizing large-scale workflows.
Through the acquisition of Odysseus, Deloitte doubled the number of customers that Deloitte provides ServiceNow. The number of Deloitte full-time consultants is steadily increasing.
Erik Nanninga, Head of Consulting at Deloitte Holland, said: “Companies such as ServiceNow are embracing digitalization and enabling organizations to find new business models and reshape jobs. We will work with Odysseus to achieve the latter for the organization.”
“We are becoming the Dutch market leader for ServiceNow services-we are proud of this,” added Ronald Krabben (Deloitte Consulting).
Better together
Sander Treur is the former owner of Odysseus and the new partner of Deloitte. This acquisition ended the independence that Odysseus has enjoyed since its establishment (1999). On the other hand, Trull himself stated that it is possible to have a greater impact on the customer’s transformation goals. “This is a good move. It’s better to be together.“
Deloitte at ServiceNow
Deloitte’s growth ambitions around ServiceNow should not be surprising. In less than two decades, ServiceNow’s revenue has grown from zero to more than $4.5 billion. ServiceNow is a PaaS company; customers often rely on consultants to optimize their use of PaaS. With the acquisition of Odysseus, Deloitte has become more approachable to these organizations than ever before.
