More and more companies are introducing mixed work styles. If there is no permanent job, employees will look for a new job every time they visit the office and use new facilities more and more. Mapwize, a start-up company from Lille, France, provides indoor maps and wayfinding functions to show existing and new employees the way to the workplace. DSS Amsterdam participants started to learn about Mapwize and the platform in February 2020.

According to the ServiceNow research “Employee experience is imperative in 2021”, a survey of more than 3,000 employees of large companies in North America and Europe was conducted, and 65% of the respondents said that they would prefer hybrid work in the future.

With the Mapwize platform, employees can navigate in offices, reserved locations, meeting rooms, and work areas, and access workstation resources-on their mobile phones, desktop devices, or digital signage screens. Workplace teams can optimize space utilization by managing and updating floor plans based on usage patterns and changing needs.

The Mapwize mapping function will be integrated into the Workplace Space mapping application of the Now platform next year. ServiceNow expects subscription sales in 2021 to exceed $5 billion and has more than 15,000 employees worldwide. Since 2019, the company has been led by long-time SAP CEO Bill McDermott.
