US company ServiceNow and Munich-based IT provider Celonis announced the establishment of a strategic partnership on October 6. According to a press release, their common goal is to help companies optimize the results and impact of their digital plans. As part of the collaboration, ServiceNow’s low-code workflow platform will be merged with Celonis’ real-time execution management platform. ServiceNow also plans to make an unspecified financial investment in Celonis.
Automation needs to understand the process
According to the announcement, as part of the partnership, they hope to provide solutions together to help customers identify and prioritize processes that are suitable for automation. According to the company, on this basis, digital workflows can be created to optimize processes and procedures. Celonis and ServiceNow stated that they want to give customers a better understanding of how the entire company’s processes work and how they can use this knowledge to accelerate digital innovation and optimize workflows.
“ServiceNow and Celonis are working together to help companies eliminate decades of process bottlenecks, advance digitalization and improve the work environment for employees,” explains Bill McDermott, CEO of ServiceNow.
Alexander Rinke, co-CEO and co-founder of Celonis:
“The collaboration with ServiceNow, a global digital workflow pioneer, highlights the importance of data for the effective use of business software today. We continue to expand Celonis to become the most innovative of all companies, teams, and managers that rely on data to transform and strengthen their businesses. Sex and the most reliable partner.”
However, partners believe that in order to automate processes in a meaningful way, organizations need to understand how workflows work across people, processes, and systems. ServiceNow and Celonis are committed to providing this information in real time in order to create digital workflows from it. To this end, data execution, automation, machine learning, process mining, robotic process automation, and low-code application development on the Now platform will be combined with Celonis’ Executive Management System (EMS).
Celonis and ServiceNow’s joint solution should be launched in the first half of 2022. ServiceNow and Celonis have developed a joint listing strategy, which also includes close cooperation in development, marketing and sales.
