AIS (Applied Information Sciences) acquired Xgility, a Microsoft Gold Partner with expertise in the Azure government cloud. The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

AIS, headquartered in Reston, Virginia, was founded in 1982. The technology consulting firm collaborates with federal government agencies to secure and measure their cloud environments. Additional areas focused on the vertical market include financial and insurance services, health and life sciences, and energy. Key partners include Microsoft, ServiceNow and Snowflake, among others – as well as Alert Logic in the security market.
Xgility, based in Ashburn, Virginia, has 100 employees. Key areas of expertise include Microsoft Office 365, Sharepoint, Teams, Power Platform, Dynamics 365, and the Azure cloud infrastructure. The combined company will have at least 1,000 experts dedicated to Microsoft, the buyer said.
