“Smaworx” is a SaaS-based (software as a service) solution for automating IT services in data centers. Sysback developed the software in cooperation with Yourguide Information Management GmbH & Co. KG (Yim) and technology supplier Micro Focus. “Smaworx” is available in Germany’s Open Telecom Cloud.
Sysback therefore positions itself as a direct competitor of ServiceNow, although the automation solutions in the United States are more targeted at large companies and companies, and “Smaworx” should also be suitable for medium-sized companies.
Sysback started to develop “Smaworx” in 2011. An important breakthrough of the project was the release of analysis software “Tanly” (ticket analyzer), a cloud-based user-friendly self-service. Now, with the help of “Smaworx”, a market-ready service management platform has emerged, which also demonstrates the first method of machine learning.

Sysback attaches great importance to data security and data protection. “Smaworx” should be able to process all personal data in a GDPR-compliant manner, and according to Sysback, the solution can be easily integrated into the customer’s IT environment. Then, it connects all related business and functional areas, and can “understand” complex business processes and finally automate them.
The core of “Smaworx” is Micro Focus’s service management automation module X (“Smax”), which can effectively handle typical processes in data centers, such as incident management (classification and further processing of IT issues). The software can also perform most of the other tasks involved, such as publishing processing, and the software can access knowledge databases from best practices and learn new things (“machine learning”). Sysback said that the design of the management platform is based on the latest findings of usability research.

Alessandro Bello, head of Sysback’s overall automation department and member of the management team, is very enthusiastic about the new solution: “With Smaworx, we provide customers with IT service management software as a service from the cloud. We position ourselves as an alternative to ServiceNow in Germany. .”
Sven Erhatic, head of Yim GmbH Smaworx, added: “The tool reduces running time, workload and costs, promotes governance and enables accurate reporting. Thanks to Smaworx, these leaders can better understand IT operations.”

Manfred Felsberg, sales director and management team member of Sysback AG, is convinced that with Deutsche Telekom, we have won the right sales partner for Smaworx: “We can serve more than 60,000 potential customers for this.” But other distributors can also sell “white label” Smarworx. The only requirement: You can operate from Open Telekom Cloud.
