Ricki Gavazis, CBS Head of Cloud Services
COMPANY NEWS: Canon Business Services ANZ (CBS) was recognized for Cloud Excellence at Snow Software’s Global 2022 Technology Intelligence Awards.
CBS overcame stiff competition around the world to get the award, recognizing the breakthrough in cloud management powered by Snow Commander. Measurable effects for the award include cost optimization, process automation, risk reduction, migration enablement and more.
“Receiving the Snow Technology Intelligence Award for Cloud Excellence really demonstrates our desire to provide a unique Cloud Management experience to our customers, said Ricki Gavazis, CBS Head of Cloud Services. “So far, we have received tremendous feedback from our customers about the features and functionality provided by the Cloud Management Platform (CMP).”
“Our product roadmap aims to expand and strengthen the capabilities of CloudMetro CMP, bringing additional orchestration, automation, management and control to our hybrid cloud estate customers. Having a global company like Snow Software recognizes Canon Business Services as the leading global organization in this space, further strengthening our plans for using this product and its ability to provide additional value and service to our customers. . “
Additional effects that led to the CBS team’s win include:
- The time to provide workloads and resources has been significantly reduced which means that CBS customers (and internal support teams) can now provide workloads in minutes instead of “days”.
- Canon has automated and dramatically improved the service so that customers can now provide via self-service (Commander) and have a virtual machine running in 10-20 minutes.
- Now, no license renewals will occur unless the Software Asset Management (SAM) team is involved, end-of-life/end-of-service is proactively planned for and the ServiceNow CMDB has more precise data that powers the Service Desk.
