Changes to LionPATH for mentors and teachers are coming soon

The LionPATH Development and Maintenance Organization (LDMO) today announced that it will soon discontinue the “Classic Advisor Center” view on LionPATH.

This view, which has been in place since LionPATH went live in 2016, will stop in mid -May. At that time, the “Advisor Home Base,” which has been an optional view on LionPATH since July 2019 will be the primary view for all academic advisers.

“Ensuring a positive experience for our students and their mentors as they work together toward a meaningful educational experience is paramount,” said Misty Patcyk, director of the LionPATH Development and Maintenance Organization. “The Advisor Home Base provides a solid capability for academic advisers to have a consistent and modern experience when using LionPATH to support students.”

Advisor Home Base features a simpler, more modern user experience, a student profile, a “See What the Student Is Seeing,” and an easier way to access information and tools with fewer clicks.

LDMO recommends those who have not yet made the transition to start doing so between now and May 12 to become more familiar with Advisor Home Base. To help those unfamiliar with Advisor Home Base, a help document is available on the LionPATH Support Faculty & Staff help site under “Academic Advising on LionPATH,” then “Advisor Home Base.”

Faculty Center upgrade

With the retirement of the Classic Advisor Center, the Classic Faculty Center view will be redefined as Faculty Home Base and will be more closely associated with the Advisor Home Base. This change is also set for mid -May.

Faculty advisors will be able to move around LionPATH rather more seamlessly than moving in and out of separate centers and benefit from faculty functionality embedded in the full range of Advisor Home features Base. Teachers who are not academic advisors will retain access to the same functionality currently available to them, with a more modern display of some features.

For a preview of the changes coming May 12, a help document is available on the LionPATH Faculty Support & Staff help site under “Faculty Home Base on LionPATH,” then “Faculty Home Base.”

If you have any questions about these updates, please submit a ServiceNow ticket to the LionPATH team.
