Cisco, ServiceNow Version Contact Tracking Integration-My Technical Decision

Cisco,

Cisco’s DNS Spaces application and ServiceNow are collaborating on a new integration to enhance contact tracking and help organizations manage return to the workplace in the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

Cisco’s DNA Spaces, a location-based application and analysis tool, will integrate with ServiceNow’s Contact Tracing application and allow joint customers to import location-based data into the ServiceNow application to identify potential interactions with affected employees.

Using Wi-Fi network connections to employee laptops or mobile devices, Cisco DNA Spaces proximity reports can enable customers to better understand each interaction and potential exposure of workplace floors and buildings.

The two companies hope to help reduce the spread of COVID-19 and other diseases in the workplace by identifying on-site employees who may have been in contact with affected people.

Blake McConnell, senior vice president of employee workflow products at ServiceNow, said in a statement that the company is committed to innovating and expanding the company’s Safe Workplace suite to help organizations ensure employee safety.
