Cobalt Iron, a SaaS-based enterprise data protection provider, today announced a new user-configurable API integration with ServiceNow. The new integration means that the Cobalt Iron Compass enterprise SaaS backup platform can now communicate directly with ServiceNow’s digital workflow platform, thereby providing a more efficient problem-solving workflow for companies using ServiceNow format services.
Backup, archive, and recovery events occur on a planned and/or manual (temporary) basis within Compass. ServiceNow API integration allows these event details to be sent to ServiceNow products without any intermediate messaging service settings. Backup management administrators can work more efficiently by customizing the backup, recovery, and restoration of event messages sent directly to their ServiceNow products through the ServiceNow API.
Event data has been and may continue to be transferred from Compass Commander GUI to ServiceNow via SNMP or SMTP message service.
Cobalt Iron Product Development Manager Paul Linder said: “We created the API integration with ServiceNow not only to respond to customer needs, but also part of our commitment to continuously improve the ease of use for industry backup administrators. “Through this API integration, backup management The operator only needs to enter the service configuration as the target into Compass Commander, and the event notification will be sent. “
The new ServiceNow API integration is native to Compass and can be used immediately. Customers can configure their event notifications to be sent to the ServiceNow API today.
