Members include Google Cloud, Okta, Service Now, Zscaler and many more. They have worked together to establish a common plan for XDR data exchange and to provide customers with a unified best-platform approach to XDR.

CrowdStrike Inc., a leading provider of cloud-based endpoint and workload protection, announces the CrowdXDR Alliance, a unified and open alliance for Extended Detection and Response (XDR), a leading provider of security and operator and best-of-breed solutions in IT. Huh. For the first time, CrowdXDR Alliance will offer integrated solutions for joint customers to protect their companies from advanced cyber attackers in a rapidly evolving threat landscape.

“The CrowdXDR Alliance will ensure that XDR is not just another buzzword, but that customers truly have the best platform approach for their enterprise-wide security. Businesses don’t need more security warnings, they need the most relevant insights They have a total security stack to prevent complex attacks and prevent security breaches,” said George Kurtz, Chief Executive Officer of CrowdStrike. “This alliance enables us to provide a ready-to-use, integrated XDR solution with real-time detection and threat hunting across all domains, and we extend comprehensive visibility, security and control over all environments. ”

The lack of standards for the exchange of data between security platforms leads to gaps in investigation and threat hunting. The CrowdXDR Alliance will introduce a common data exchange scheme to enrich EDR data with the most relevant, manufacturer-specific security telemetry. The partners of CrowdStrike and XDR Alliance together aim to:

  • Expanded detection and response through an integrated security stack: United customers benefit from enhanced threat detection, investigation, response and threat hunting in real time by seamlessly ingesting and correlating relevant telemetry data to prevent the most advanced attackers and new types of threats.
  • Unparalleled safety efficiency and effectiveness: Intelligently process large amounts of telemetry from multiple sources to provide customers with real-time, actionable security insights and quick cross-domain investigations to reduce time to resolution.
  • Intensive Defense with Shared Telemetry: Establish and support a standardized XDR scheme for the exchange of relevant telemetry data and accelerate response to incidents with contextually enriched detection, more effective correlation, timely investigation and automated response to optimize the company’s security situation to bring.
  • Optimum operating efficiency: Simplified deployment by tightly integrating customer’s existing solutions and building a coherent and more effective cybersecurity stack that can deter attacks anywhere in the environment.

The founding partners of the CrowdXDR Alliance include leading companies in the security and IT sectors in cloud, web, email, identity, network, OT and IT operations. Current members include Google Cloud, Okta, ServiceNow, Zscaler, NetScope, Proofpoint, XtraHop, Mimecast, Claroti and CoreLite.

The Forrester report, “Adapt or Die: XDR Is on a Collision Course with SIEM and SOAR,” states, “Good XDR lives and dies at the foundation of a good EDR. XDR providers are constrained by the EDR on which they are based.” or Strong. Choose your XDR based on high-impact detection, strong third-party partnerships, or EDRs with advanced native capabilities and automated response recommendations.”
