A specialist in Amazon Web Services and Databricks, Intellify was founded in early 2018 by co-CEOs Kale Temple and Matt Alamdari, with the pair now joining Deloitte Consulting as partners later this month .
Having delivered more than 150 projects across the banking, insurance, energy, government, and retail sectors since its inception, in 2019 Intellify was named AWS Partner of the Year for Data, Analytics, and Machine Learning, which was revoked the title last year along with Deloitte’s nod for Global Systems Integrator Partner of the Year. In addition, Intellify has been named Databricks ’ANZ Partner of the Year for the past two years.
“Our team has done a lot in a short period of time – in terms of market presence and the value and opportunity we know we provide to our clients. Joining a larger consulting business, and one that is very strong as an alliance partner of both AWS and Databricks, is the right step at the right time for us, ”Temple said.
Co-founder Alamdari added that joining Deloitte would allow both companies to “change the data science and machine learning landscape across Australia.”
For Deloitte, the firm said the acquisition will see it become a local leader in the artificial intelligence and machine learning business space, combining both deep technical experience and sector solutions to serve clients in areas such as personalization and value-chain and workforce optimization.
The move follows the company’s launch of a dedicated AI research institute in Melbourne last year, led by Deloitte Consulting partner and national AI lead Kellie Nuttall.
“The arrival of the highly credited Intellify team will add greater size and depth of capability to our offerings, due to their deep understanding of the entire artificial intelligence management life-cycle, and we are excited to bring them to Deloitte, ”Nuttall said.
“The sky is really the limit when it comes to artificial intelligence, data and the potential of machine learning to drive improved productivity and deliver hundreds of billions of dollars to our economy and future prosperity.”
Nuttall continued; “Research at Deloitte shows that more than 90% of Australian executives view artificial intelligence as essential to staying competitive, and from supply chain optimization to hyper-personalization of the customer and citizen experience, it is becoming more serious. organizations in Australia about the critical role of data technologies and machine learning. It will play in unlocking new sources of value and in driving the next evolution of business innovation in our country. “
The latest acquisition follows elite ServiceNow-focused health sector partner Entrago last month, and the splash it made in February with the simultaneous purchase of a trio of digital experience consultancies; Mixture of Digital, New Republique and Venntifact. Other recent acquisitions include sustainability tech consultancy OCT Emissions Solutions, and digital healthcare specialists The Checkley Group.
