Four free apps from ServiceNow Digital workflow for COVID-19 crisis management
ServiceNow President and CEO Bill McDermott said: “In the fight against the spread of the corona virus, no one is as smart as all of us.” Therefore, his company hopes to be in the field of digital workflow management. Make your own contribution.
By releasing four new free apps, companies around the world now have effective tools to communicate with employees in emergency situations, report illnesses and manage exposure.
As part of the customer care plan, support will be provided to companies and authorities to effectively respond to crises. Therefore, ServiceNow has temporarily released four new community applications designed to simplify the management of complex emergency workflows. The ServiceNow application enables communication between the company and employees in emergency situations, disease reports and exposure management. McDermott said: “These are the functions that the company now needs to safely guide its employees through the crisis.” Therefore, the current full application of best practices is essential.
Coordination of the COVID-19 crisis
This is why the emergency application developed jointly with the Washington State Department of Health is provided to all authorities in the country for free. “After Washington State became the corona center of the United States, the authorities, rescuers and health services must establish an incident management structure within a very short period of time to respond to the COVID-19 outbreak and its spread. In order to control the consequences, Washington State Said Jennifer McNamara, Chief Information Officer of the Ministry of Health.
On the basis of Now Platform, the process is digitized so that the event management team can be assembled and brought to the scene faster. Instead of a manual, labor-intensive, and fault-prone process, an automated process is realized through which resource allocation can be monitored at any time. And, as an unimportant side effect, better traceability increases the chances of claiming compensation for all costs related to the federal government. Other event management functions will be automated, such as resource transfer, planning, logistics and finance.
In addition to the Washington State Department of Health app, ServiceNow also released three other community apps, which are freely available to all customers around the world:
- The emergency outreach workflow uses the Now platform to enable the company to communicate with employees in the event of a crisis and provide an overview of the possible impact. Employers can send emails to employees to convey information and safety precautions, and ask for answers. In this way, they know whether employees are safe and where they are. With the ServiceNow Now mobile app, employers can also send push notifications to employees’ smartphones to receive their feedback.
- With the help of “work flow emergency self-reporting”, employees can inform their company and the time they are isolated at home.
- If the company knows the employee’s condition, it can use the “emergency exposure management” workflow to determine who may be the contact based on the meeting and the location of the relevant personnel.
From now until September 30, 2020, all four applications are available to ServiceNow customers for free.
Customer Care Plan
In addition, ServiceNow provides support to customers through a dedicated customer service plan to maintain operations in the event of COVID-19. This includes ensuring almost 100% availability of ServiceNow instances and opening a “Community Now Forum” where customers and partners can exchange ideas. This is supplemented by the “Application Suggestions” portal, where customers and partners can post suggestions for applications or features related to the corona virus.
