Don DiGiovanni has been appointed vice president of Human Resources (HR) Shared Services.
In his new role, DiGiovanni will be responsible for the Shared Services Technology, Caregiver Onboarding, HR Transactions and Caregiver Service Center teams.
DiGiovanni joined ChristianaCare in 1997 as a member of the Information Technology (IT) Department. For nearly two decades, he has held leadership positions for teams critical to supporting our caregivers throughout the organization: IT Customer Service Center, IT Access Center, PC Services, Facilities/Operations of IT and IT Planners.
Immediately prior to his new role, DiGiovanni was corporate director of Information Services leading ServiceNow’s strategy to deploy the platform across the organization. In collaboration with Human Resources, his team created the solution to support the COVID-19 employee accommodation process as well as the efficiencies for the HR Caregiver Service Center at the height of the pandemic.
Additionally, DiGiovanni implemented an IT strategy to utilize internal resources for development that earned more than $ 155,000 in savings in the department’s fiscal year 2021 operating budget. For the past five years, he has also served as process manager for the IT Incident, Change and Knowledge management process, working closely with the IT Service Management team.
DiGiovanni has a passion for creating excellence that has a positive impact for our caregivers. He co-led a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt project to reduce waste through printer optimization and co-led the integration of CipherRounds with ServiceNow. Her achievements have earned her a ChristianaCare Performance Improvement Award for the IT access termination process and a ChristianaCare Focus on Excellence Award for the IT password reset process. When DiGiovanni managed the IT Customer Service Center, he was named as a prominent mentor from the Learning Institute at Education Research Week.
He reports to Christopher Cowan, M.Ed., FABC, senior vice president, Human Resources.
