Serve immediately Now supports Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). That is, business users can access and manage OCI resources through their ServiceNow service portal and ServiceNow ITOM Visibility application, which provides them with a single dashboard for managing public cloud resources from Oracle and other cloud providers .
Oracle Cloud continues to expand its cloud product portfolio, which currently includes 29 Oracle Cloud regions, Oracle Government Cloud and 7 Oracle-Microsoft Azure Interconnect global regions, as well as the most comprehensive support for the hybrid cloud strategy. Many international customers have used ServiceNow for their IT service management and procurement solutions. Today, because of this integration, they can use the Now platform to discover and manage OCI IaaS resources like other cloud resources.
By integrating the ITOM Visibility application with OCI, ServiceNow and Oracle enable customers to assess inventory and analyze cloud resource usage within their OCI tenants. All discoverable Oracle cloud resources are extracted and stored in the ServiceNow Configuration Management Database (CMDB) repository, which can then be used to monitor the availability of these resources for IT service, operations, and support layer management.
In addition, the combination of CMDB content and ServiceNow’s AIOps solution enables customers to monitor the workload implemented in OCI and provide service context through label-based service mapping.
“Our customer—Scott Twaddle, vice president of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Products, Industries, and Partnerships—said—increasingly migrating to a multi-cloud environment requires an easy way to manage all of their cloud resources. This is a big step forward for all customers of Oracle and other major cloud providers running their most strategic applications. They can now use the existing ServiceNow service management portal to view and manage their All cloud resources, including Oracle’s.”
“Through this integration, ServiceNow and Oracle provide a high level of productivity for distributed teams to deliver products and services faster, access important business information, and create a great employee experience, no matter where they are. The joint customers of Now Platform and OCI will enjoy the best of both worlds, an excellent experience that maximizes the value of cloud investments and can use the power of artificial intelligence for active operations,” Jeff Hausman, Vice President and General Manager of Operations Management Commented (ITOM, ITAM, security for ServiceNow) and data foundation.
