Thirdera, a fast-growing solution provider in the ServiceNow field, has acquired UX/UI designer Appoxio and is building a digital experience business unit around Appoxio employees and technology.
Thirdera said on Wednesday that the company’s fifth acquisition this year has been completed.
The terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
“We think this will open the next level of user experience and value for the ServiceNow workflow platform,” Thirdera CEO Jason Wojahn (pictured) said in an interview with CRN.

Wojahn said that adding Appoxio functionality will help Thirdera “promote the adoption of ServiceNow software and drive user engagement and user satisfaction.”
Thirdera in Leesburg, Virginia is part of a rapidly expanding ecosystem around ServiceNow and its cloud-based platform for building digital workflows. Just last week, ServiceNow partner Highmetric acquired ServiceNow partner NewRocket.
In August 2020, NTT Data Services expanded its influence in the ServiceNow field by acquiring ServiceNow’s 2020 industry solution partner Acorio. Part of the reason Computer Design & Integration recently acquired Candoris was to gain more ServiceNow expertise.
Thirdera is an elite ServiceNow partner and claims to be the world’s largest pure ServiceNow partner. “Everything we do is done in the context of ServiceNow,” Wojahn said.
After the merger of three ServiceNow solution provider partners: Evergreen Systems, Cerna Solutions and NovoScale, Thirdera was launched earlier this year, and they are all owned by private equity firm Sunstone Partners. In May, the company expanded into the Asia-Pacific region through the acquisition of Service Line Solutions, a ServiceNow partner based in Australia.
Appoxio is a user experience/user interface design agency that focuses on providing UX/UI design, portal development, and custom application and integration services for the ServiceNow platform. As a senior ServiceNow partner, Appoxio was founded in 2018 by CEO Frank Schuster, who previously worked at ServiceNow.
According to the company, adding Appoxio’s UI/UX capabilities to Thirdera’s expertise will enable Thirdera to provide customers with more application and content design services, making ServiceNow-based solutions more “people-oriented” and easier to access , And help companies and organizations simplify ServiceNow adoption.
“Designing and developing an interactive and intuitive user experience is more than just placing a beautiful portal on the system,” Wojahn said. “Meeting with customers who are on the adoption curve is very important.”
Headquartered in Calgary, Alberta, Appoxio will become the center of the new Thirdera Digital (3D) business unit and continue to focus on user experience design. Schuster is now Thirdera’s senior vice president of 3D, reporting to Wojahn, and Appoxio’s approximately 40 employees are expected to remain with the company.
Wojahn said that at the same time, Thirdera continued to expand in the United States, Canada, and Latin America, adding approximately 150 employees in the past 100 days alone, bringing its total employment to more than 465.
