RUTLAND – Melissa R. (Fintonis) Fairbrother, loving mother, wife, daughter, passed away after a brief illness on Sunday, January 16, 2022 at UMass Memorial Medical Center – Memorial Campus in Worcester.
Born in Natick, the son of Robert Fintonis and Marilyn (Regan) Walters. She will miss her loving husband of 21 years, Nathan G. Fairbrother; his daughter, Juliet Renee-Lynn Fairbrother of Rutland; his parents, Robert Fintonis and his wife Karen and Marilyn (Regan) Walters and his wife Chuck; his brother, Michael Fintonis; 5 stepsiblings, Amy Sannicandro and her husband Peter of Framingham, Rebecca Fintonis, Joseph Fintonis, Brian Fintonis and John Walters.
Born in Natick, Melissa graduated from Algonquin High School and went on to earn a bachelor’s degree from Becker College.
Early in his career, he worked as Project Manager for Concord Communications and CA. He focused his marketing skills at ServiceNow for several years before taking a job in recent months as Director of Marketing for Freshworks. Melissa has always been a dedicated student and employee throughout her life.
She met the love of her life, Nathan Fairbrother, when she was 18 years old. The two came together in a life full of happiness and joy. They will happily live in Hubbardston before moving to Rutland in 2018 where they will raise their daughter Juliet Renee-Lynn Fairbother, who has been the most important part of her life. Juliet is the apple of Melissa’s eye and the greatest thing she has accomplished of all is being her mother.
He enjoyed the presence of all the animals and became an advocate for rescuing them and retrieving them. She loves her chickens, rescue dogs, and cats. Melissa is kind and believes in doing good for the world. He supported many charities and advocated for the poor in need.
Calling hours will be held from 9:30 to 11 am on Saturday, Jan. 22, 2022 at Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street in Holden.
A celebration of life will follow at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. The funeral will be held another day at the Rural Cemetery in Rutland.
