Most executives in India prefer to continue working remotely: survey

The survey was conducted from September 1 to 10 on 900 senior executives and 8,100 employees with 500 or more employees from the United States, Britain, France, Germany, Ireland, the Netherlands, India, Japan, Singapore, Australia and other countries and regions. In India, 100 senior managers and 1,000 employees from various industries including manufacturing, healthcare, financial services, telecommunications and public sector were surveyed.

Both executives (69%) and employees (55%) interviewed admitted that the need for further investment is the top priority for organizations seeking to capitalize on the cost savings caused by the pandemic.

It added that funds may be available for this purpose, and 91% of Indian executives interviewed agreed that cost savings would stem from changes in company operations brought about by COVID-19.

The survey also shows that India ranks first in the world in terms of using digital workflows.

The report says that although the initial trend seems encouraging, there is still a long way to go.

Less than half of Indian employees (49%) and executives (42%) believe they have a fully integrated system that can manage workflow across business functions.
