• Simplified DevOps: Nutanix Calm 3.0 will provide expanded functionality and tighter ServiceNow integration. Customers can now automate their application lifecycle, including updates, patches, extensions, etc., while taking advantage of ServiceNow’s approval process and auditing capabilities. They can also improve your security by keeping passwords in a central CyberArc vault, which is especially important for government and corporate customers. In addition to tight integration, Calm 3.0 also allows DevOps teams to easily automate the organization of workloads in hybrid cloud infrastructure, and provides Domain Specific Language (DSL) Python-based Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to write Calm blueprints. Calm DSL provides all the richness of Calm UI, but has the additional benefits of version control, human-readable code, and can handle even the most complex application scenarios;
• Simplified infrastructure management: Building on the previously announced integration with ServiceNow, Nutanix Prism Pro customers can now respond to alerts and events directly from the ServiceNow portal. For example, customers can not only track infrastructure failures or problems through work orders automatically created in ServiceNow, but they can also solve these problems directly in the work order system. Add third-party applications to trigger automation to help customers create a complete IT service management process;
• Simplified cloud governance and cost optimization: Tighter integration with ServiceNow will enable customers to simplify cost and security optimization practices and reduce their reliance on public clouds. For example, they may limit unexpected public cloud consumption, which often leads to severe budget overruns. With this solution, customers will be able to automatically insert Nutanix Xi Beam cost and security optimization recommendations into existing ServiceNow workflows, automatically create tickets based on cost savings recommendations and security breach alerts, and assign them to the appropriate owners.
Currently, customers can use the extended ServiceNow integration, and Calm 3.0 is under development.
