Palo Alto launches 5G-integrated SD-WAN to accelerate SASE deployment

Palo Alto Networks launched Prisma SASE, which integrates Prisma Access and Prisma SD-WAN into an integrated cloud delivery service with industry-leading network security and next-generation SD-WAN to ensure that organizations work smoothly between branches while at the same time Keep your office and home office safe and efficient, as well as on the road.

Palo Alto Networks is introducing further innovations for Prisma SASE, including SD-WAN with integrated 5G to accelerate the deployment of SASE to branch offices and ADEMs in order to provide an enhanced digital experience for users in any location.


Prisma SASE will introduce new features, including:

-The new bundled SKU makes it easier for customers to adopt SASE. Prisma SASE integrates Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA), Cloud Security Web Gateway (SWG), Cloud Access Security Broker (CASB), Firewall as a Service (FWaaS) and SD-WAN into one solution.

-A new SD-WAN device with integrated 5G (ION 1200), as part of the Prisma SASE solution, enables organizations to provide 5G WAN connectivity to branch networks, including running active/active 5G WAN interfaces to achieve operator redundancy ability.

-New CloudBlades integrations, including ServiceNow, Microsoft Teams, and Zoom, to improve hybrid working connections. CloudBlades is a platform that provides organizations with the ability to integrate various cloud services into Prisma SASE solutions through APIs.

-The industry’s only SASE native autonomous digital experience management, introducing a new digital experience for all users and branches on Prisma SD-WAN (launched to mobile users on Prisma Access in early 2021), while providing a cloud foundation Facilities performance, application performance and user traffic monitoring.

-Integrated cloud security web gateway with reimagined configuration workflow, providing very simple and easy-to-define web security rules as well as pre-defined recommendations and continuous evaluation to meet the needs of a mixed workforce.
