Our client in Maidenhead is building a new global HR service enabled by new technology: to ensure they deliver a great experience to their people, so they can deliver a great experience to our customers.
The HR organization of the Future will work across brands, geographies, and cultures to support a global business. By joining their regional team for Europe and Africa early on, you have a unique opportunity to influence the vision and delivery of the People Partnering Organization (PPO).
The People Partner role is characterized by diversity and you will have a comprehensive understanding of the business in your assigned geography. You will work in a dynamic environment, drawing on your extensive HR toolbox to coach and support leaders during times of great business change. Your daily job is to liaise with various stakeholders and use your extensive HR knowledge to support leaders on a range of people matters and policies.
Key responsibilities
As they move forward on their journey to establishing a brand-agnostic people partnership model, you will play a key role. Initially you will be deeply involved in the preparation leading to go-live and work on embedding new ways of working, new processes and HR technologies (Workday and ServiceNow), supporting leaders through the transition .
You will be joining an organization that is gearing up for the launch of their new HR model HR of the future. Your role will constantly evolve, and your scope will change from implementation to steady state partnering people to include the following areas of responsibility:
- Partner with HRBPs in the implementation of the People Strategy.
- To deliver our service delivery model by working closely with HR professionals and specialists within our People Advisory, Centers of Excellence functions and Global Mobility teams.
- Build strong relationships with leaders and their teams and be their primary point of contact and sparring partner on all things people.
- Encourage local delivery of the annual HR Cycle, including annual performance management, compensation, succession planning and development.
- Resolve employee relations issues, support and advise leaders on HR related matters and policies.
- Stay current on the local employment law landscape to ensure local compliance.
- Act as a talent broker encouraging the transfer of individuals from one part of the organization to another to gain specific developmental experience.
- Collaborate effectively with the entire regional PPO team in the day-to-day delivery of people processes as well as resolving complex cases.
- Draw people insights from available real-time reports to identify and address opportunities for improvement with leaders and local management.
- Deliver training and workshops for local leadership teams and diverse employee populations on various HR topics.
- Participate in on-site recruitment where required and coordinate and conduct employee activities required on site, ie onboarding, training sessions.

Profile
To succeed in this People Partner role for our Maidenhead-based client, you must be a true people person and thrive in an environment where no two days are the same.
In terms of skillset and experience, we are looking for:
- Solid experience as an HR generalist and deep understanding of HR fundamentals, including recruitment, people performance management, employee engagement, compensation, development, and employee relations.
- Demonstrated passion for business by partnering and supporting leaders to deliver business results.
- Advanced knowledge of local labor laws; Experience from working in unionized environments would be beneficial.
- As the company develops its logistics function, we are seeking candidates with experience in a logistics or manufacturing environment.
- Experience of TUPE management is desirable.
- Experience developing, maintaining, and interpreting HR policies and processes.
- Acts as a trust advisor on a wide range of HR related matters.
- Experience from large international organizations and the ability to build relationships and navigate a complex stakeholder matrix.
- Excellent change management, facilitation and coaching skills.
- Ability to take ownership and act independently, while also adopting a collaborative working style, fostering cooperation and teamwork to find solutions.
- Flexibility and adaptability to deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
- Stability: the process of change, is anything but straightforward; embracing uncertainty and demonstrating the ability to overcome challenges and deliver results.
- Be self-driven, energetic, and have a ‘can-do’ mindset.
