Digital workflow experts just announced the signing of an agreement to acquire Mapwize, an indoor surveying and positioning expert based in Lille, France. With Mapwize, ServiceNow intends to provide internal mapping functions for employees who book offices, meeting rooms, workspaces, and workplace resources via computers or mobile devices, as well as locations in the office. Mapwize’s capabilities also allow corporate services to manage and update office plans based on usage trends and changing real estate needs.
ServiceNow announced that it will integrate Mapwize functionality locally into the Now platform and its workplace service delivery suite. “Mapwize’s map solutions, product features and engineers will complement and enhance ServiceNow’s existing workplace service delivery capabilities, including workplace space mapping, workplace reservation management, workplace space management (space management), workplace visitor management ( Visitor management), case and knowledge management (request and information management), and safe workplace suite (return to office management)”, ServiceNow explained in its press release.

With Mapwize, ServiceNow will promote office positioning and Access to the information and services they need at work is at the forefront of the employee experience.
Mapwize is headquartered in Lille and was founded in 2014 by Médéric Morel and Mathieu Gérard, respectively, as CEO and Chief Technology Officer. ServiceNow expects to complete the acquisition of Mapwize in the third quarter of 2021. The financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
