ServiceNow acquires Neebula for $100 million

ServiceNow

Start-up company Neebula fell into ServiceNow’s vision. The cash payment transaction will be completed at the end of July.

IT service management expert ServiceNow has just signed a $100 million commitment to acquire Neebula Systems. The transaction will be settled in cash and should end at the end of the month. Neebula’s flagship product ServiceWatch can automatically discover, map and track enterprise IT services, and it will become an integral part of the ServiceNow ITOM product portfolio. Frank Slootman, Managing Director of ServiceNow, said ServiceWatch will become the cornerstone of the company’s IT operations management strategy. This is a fundamental change. For decades, management has been focused on components. From now on, service composition becomes crucial. It confirms the fact that the future management system will be shaped as a business service, which can only be achieved through a single integrated model of service and workflow.

Automated service maintenance

Yuval Cohen, co-founder and managing director of Israeli startups, said Neebula’s ambition is to transform the IT operations management market by automating the creation and maintenance of service models. Combining the powerful functions of ServiceWatch with ServiceNow’s ITOM solution and its market position will enable us to help companies gain real service management advantages.

The addition of ServiceWatch will also enhance the functions of other ServiceNow IT Operations management products, such as event management for event management and event management for orchestration and discovery. When ServiceNow releases its second-quarter financial results scheduled for July 30, 2014, more detailed information about the acquisition should be available.
