New York and Santa Clara, California-(Business line)-The National Basketball Association (NBA) and the Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA) today announced a multi-year cooperation plan to enable ServiceNow Their first official workflow partner. ServiceNow, a company that makes work better and better, will provide the products and technologies needed to create and streamline workflows in the NBA and WNBA.
As part of a multi-year partnership, the NBA and WNBA use ServiceNow’s Employee workflow to manage the complex, manual processes associated with the 2019-20 NBA Season Restart and 2020 WNBA season. ServiceNow’s workflow enables the NBA and WNBA to perform basic onboarding and health check procedures to create a safer environment on their campuses. This month, the NBA and WNBA safely completed their seasons in Orlando and Bradenton respectively, bringing basketball back to fans around the world during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Through the use of digital workflows, ServiceNow helped the league facilitate the access to the Florida NBA and WNBA campuses for more than 2,600 league employees, sellers and guests who successfully processed more than 13,000 basic documents. By using ServiceNow technology, the league proved that using the right tools and protocols can safely and cautiously restart the game.
In addition to the ServiceNow Employee Workflow product, the NBA and WNBA plan to launch other products throughout the multi-year partnership, including:
- ServiceNow Software Asset Management (SAM): SAM will help the alliance reduce risk, increase visibility, work faster and smarter, and optimize software spending.
- ServiceNow IT Operations Pro (ITOM Pro): ITOM Pro will increase the visibility of the alliance’s infrastructure to maintain service health and optimize cloud spending.
- ServiceNow Integrated Risk Management (IRM): With the continuous development of IRM on a global scale, it will provide risk management and compliance solutions throughout the alliance’s digital business processes.
- ServiceNow Customer Service Management (CSM): CSM will be deployed throughout the business to provide a better experience for coaches, players and fans.
