ServiceNow Expands New South Wales TAFE Internship Program-Training and Development

ServiceNow partnered with TAFE NSW and the non-profit training organization MEGT to expand its Australian training program.

First launched in February, these companies are now looking for new partners to receive trainees and provide new talents with more ways to enter the IT industry.

The internship does not require applicants to have a university education, and aims to increase the opportunities and channels for individuals who wish to enter the IT industry.

TAFE NSW Regional General Manager Vicky Mazzeo said: “We are proud to work with ServiceNow to help provide the right digitally ready skills and high employment rate IT talents that the New South Wales workforce needs, as well as a rapidly evolving technology environment.”

Eric Swift, Vice President and Managing Director of ServiceNow ANZ, said: “As organizations embrace the digital workflow revolution, the demand for people with the right skills is growing. Many of Australia’s largest organizations use Now platform to support their business transformation, so we see a great demand for ServiceNow skills in the market.”

Swift said: “We are proud to help build Australia’s talent pool and support recruitment and employee retention, while creating new ways to develop key digital skills that will drive Australia’s future.”

As part of the plan, participating organizations will become “host partners” and will be able to find and contact talents through training. During their participation in TAFE NSW, trainees will have four days of paid work internships through MEGT every week, where they will obtain a Level 4 Certificate in Information Technology and integrate ServiceNow courses into the learning modules.

Service Line Solutions is now part of Thirdera, a company that received training when the training program was launched.

Uriah Jacobs, Managing Director of Thirdera Asia Pacific, said: “ServiceNow and MEGT training are an excellent way to discover new talent and find new employees for our team. Our interns are very valuable to the business and we are very happy to be able to obtain them through this program. More support.”

The ServiceNow and MEGT training program is the second such program in the country to join the Microsoft program.

“Every state and territory in Australia urgently needs IT skills. We are proud to work with ServiceNow and its NextGen program to help solve the skills shortage and provide more high-quality employment opportunities for candidates across the country,” MEGT Said Marco Millalonco, National Account Manager.

The next enrollment for the ServiceNow training program operated by ServiceNow’s NextGen team will begin in October 2021, and 20 training positions will be available at that time.
