ServiceNow has launched four application suites to manage work returning to the office

ServiceNow

ServiceNow is launching a four-application suite designed to provide companies with tools to help employees reopen during the COVID-19 pandemic, when economies and companies return to the workplace, track health and manage personal protective equipment and other items in stock.

As technology companies are launching applications to manage new normal corporate functions (for example, shifts in offices to maintain social distancing), the now-launched ServiceNow suite has landed. The “Safe Workplace Dashboard” provides a visualization of the data collected by the application and a map that contains aggregated public data on infection rates.

For example, Salesforce launched a portal called Work.com, and a rework app for managing emergency response, health, shift management, and learning tools. Work.com Command Center and Shift Management will be officially available in June, and the emergency response and contact tracking modules will be available later this month.

ServiceNow built the Safe Workplace suite on the Now platform and integrated its human resources, IT and service applications. The general theme is that getting employees back to the workplace is ultimately related to workflow management, which is ServiceNow’s specialty.

The core applications of Safe Workplace include:

  • Employee readiness survey, which evaluates employees’ readiness through opinion polls, such as interest in returning to the office and safety issues.
  • Employee health checks can track trends in temperature, personal protective equipment and facilities, and throughout the workforce.
  • Workplace safety management, a dashboard for configuring, cleaning the workplace and keeping a distance from society. Companies can allocate shift time in the work space and configure a cleaning schedule after the shift. The dashboard allows real-time viewing of workplace reservations and cleaning status of each floor, building and site.
  • Workplace PPE inventory management, you can view inventory by facility and equipment level.

ServiceNow’s work is based on a community app launched in March to help businesses and government agencies manage the COVID-19 response. These applications will be available for free until September 30. ServiceNow has released a community app so that employees can self-report to their employers that they are in self-isolation and provide companies with emergency extension tools.
