ServiceNow has hired Deloitte Consulting veteran Erica Volini as the newly established Global Alliance and Channel Ecosystem (ACE) listing (GTM) senior vice president of operations, the workflow automation software company disclosed in its blog.
When Volini joins ServiceNow in late August 2021, she will report to VMware veteran David Parsons, who joined ServiceNow in October 2018 as senior vice president of global alliances and channel ecosystems.
According to a ServiceNow spokesperson:
“David oversees and will continue to oversee the entire partner organization, and Erica will report to him. Erica will particularly focus on the practice construction functions of global alliances and channel ecosystem organizations, including strategic planning, industry solutions, and ISV/operations. “
Volini is certainly familiar with ServiceNow and the partner ecosystem of software companies. In fact, Deloitte is a global elite partner of ServiceNow.
Volini joins ServiceNow in business development
With the development of IT service management (ITSM) software providers from IT service desks to more workflow automation opportunities in the fields of human resources, finance, and security operations, Volini came to ServiceNow.
In addition, ServiceNow has acquired robotic process automation (RPA) software to compete with recent RPA moves such as Automation Anywhere, UiPath, and Microsoft Power Automate and Salesforce Servicetrace RPA.
ServiceNow CEO Bill McDermott (Bill McDermott) was a leader of SAP, and he has been driving business development. The recent results are impressive: the company’s revenue in the second quarter was $1.4 billion-an increase of nearly 30% over the same period last year.
Volini joins ServiceNow: her perspective
In a prepared statement regarding her career change, Volini said:
“ServiceNow’s mission of’make work, work better for people’ resonates deeply with me, because throughout my career, I have been focusing on evolving work dynamics and how to transform them into Significant business value and impact.
I am very happy to join ServiceNow because we will continue to move towards $15 billion in revenue and help our partners and customers in their digital transformation. I am passionate about helping organizations transform and redefine the nature of how work is done. I can’t wait to start my ServiceNow journey and our amazing partner ecosystem. “
ServiceNow for MSP and SMB customers?
Wildcards to remember include: Will ServiceNow expand downstream to support MSP in the small and medium business (SMB) market? More and more major MSPs (including Thrive and Full Managed) have invested heavily in the ServiceNow Now platform. In addition, some MSPs are launching co-managed services for ServiceNow’s end customers. And MSP-centric software companies, such as Liongard, integrate with ServiceNow.
Nonetheless, most of ServiceNow’s success in the SMB and mid-range markets has involved MSP’s introduction of the software platform into their business—rather than ServiceNow’s promotion of its software specifically to SMB-enabled MSPs.
