Servicenow integrates Microsoft Teams and Rubric in its platform

Servicenow

Servicenow announced that Microsoft Teams Workflow is fully available on its platform. The company explained that IT and HR employees using its platform can discuss and solve problems directly in Microsoft’s collaboration solutions. At about the same time, Rubric announced its integration into Servicenow. To this end, the company hopes to integrate new functions in Servicenow and enable customers to automatically record their category cloud data management environment through the configuration management database.

Resolve problems faster

Due to the cooperation with Microsoft Teams, one of the new features provided by Servicenow is the chat function. This allows Servicenow employees to invite employees to join the team call directly from the chat window, for example when a problem arises. Chat-to-Call also supports video calls and screen sharing. According to Servicenow, “due to the rapid diagnosis of incidents, this greatly reduces the time it takes for employees to resolve them”. As the company announced, another feature enables Servicenow employees to quickly transfer important information from the Now platform to the team’s group meetings.

According to Servicenow, integrating the team into the platform corresponds to the desire to have employees gradually return to the office after pandemic measures. The Servicenow announcement said: “When employees return to the actual workplace and need help, employees now have the resources to prepare for the increase in incidents and inquiries.”

Realize multi-cloud transparency and data backup through category cooperation

Through cooperation with Servicenow, Rubric hopes to make the configuration management database (CMDB) more consistent, as it said in a message from Rubric. Sree Subramaniam, ITOM Product Management Director at Servicenow, explained that the visibility of the gauge data using the ITOM Visibility solution in Servicenow’s Now platform supports a robust workflow. The strategic cooperation with Rubric can advance the common goal of supporting enterprises in cloud transformation. ITOM visibility features, such as the combination of multi-cloud transparency and category data sets, should help modern cloud customers eliminate problems in IT service management.

Despite the corona, Servicenow will be able to generate more than $5 billion in revenue in 2020. Compared with the previous year, this is equivalent to a 30% increase in sales. You can find more detailed information about Servicenow’s annual data here.
