ServiceNow announced on January 25 that it has launched a “vaccine management management” solution to promote the large-scale distribution, management and monitoring of new coronavirus infection (COVID-19) vaccines.
The solution is built on the company’s ServiceNow Customer Service Management (CSM) platform. So far, the company has provided a “safe workplace” package when employees return to work, as well as multiple emergency applications related to the new coronavirus.
According to ServiceNow, the company is trying to help solve “last mile” issues, such as distribution, management and monitoring in vaccine management. The new crown vaccine is characterized by limited supply and unique storage conditions, requiring two doses. Attempts to solve the vaccine transportation problem through decentralized legacy systems and data islands have created different solutions that vary from situation to situation.
ServiceNow announced some applications that will allow companies to resume office use. Companies such as Workday, Salesforce, and Microsoft have also announced applications, and vaccine management has become a seasonal area of enterprise software. ServiceNow claims to work with more than 100 organizations, including the North Carolina Department of Health and Welfare and the Scottish National Health Service, to manage vaccine supply.
Vaccine management is distributed to ServiceNow subscribers in the company’s official global store. The main functions are as follows.
- Self-service experience for mobile and desktop devices
- Vaccine delivery status tracking and inventory status management
- Schedule management of vaccine managers and support staff
- Get to know the non-participants and collect feedback
- Notify subjects when vaccines are available
ServiceNow plans to announce more solutions in the coming weeks to help provide vaccines.
