ServiceNow neemt MSP Fairchild Resiliency Systems over

ServiceNow

ServiceNow acquired its first independent software vendor (ISV): Fairchild Resiliency Systems. In this way, the company hopes to expand its “risk portfolio.”

Channele2e wrote that Fairchild Resiliency Systems is a business continuity platform and managed service provider (MSP) based in Boston. The company has integrated two ServiceNow solutions: IT service management and integrated risk management.

ServiceNow said in a blog post that the company’s solution “helps the company set a timetable to continue working during interruptions in services and business processes.”

Expand investment portfolio

With this acquisition, ServiceNow aims to expand its risk portfolio by merging Fairchild Resiliency Systems’ business continuity capabilities with operational, supplier and IT risk management capabilities. In this way, ServiceNow hopes to provide organizations with the “visibility and flexibility” they need to better manage risk and become more resilient.

Therefore, after the acquisition, Fairchild Resiliency Systems’ technology must be integrated into ServiceNow’s own business continuity management platform.

What ServiceNow deposits for Fairchild Resiliency Systems is unknown. However, it is clear that the acquisition still needs to be completed this year.

The first transaction under the leadership of the new CEO

The acquisition of Fairchild Resiliency Systems is the first major transaction since the company’s new CEO. At the end of October, it became clear that former SAP CEO Bill McDermott will take over the leadership of ServiceNow.

McDermott will become President and CEO of ServiceNow by the end of 2019. He will also become a member of the board of directors. McDermott will succeed the company’s current CEO and President John Donahoe. From January 2020, Donahoe will become the new leader of Nike.

During the transition period, Donahoe remained the CEO of ServiceNow. He will remain on the company’s board of directors until his term ends in June 2020.
