ServiceNow’s chief digital strategist, Jonathan Alboum, told Government Affairs in an interview released on Tuesday that federal agencies should ensure that they have the correct network, software and hardware asset management procedures, and other tools to continue to support Maximum telecommuting.

He said that the COVID-19 pandemic has prompted organizations to innovate and optimize processes that work digitally, noting that organizations need to ensure that “tasks can be achieved under any circumstances.”

“I think we realize once again that telecommuting is more than just connecting the system. It has a digital workflow and a digitally converted process, so the work can actually be done anywhere without reducing performance or relying on it. The personnel of our agency provide services…” he said.

Alboum said that he believes agents should move to complete and comprehensive digitization of key processes.

“I think the future is different,” Albem said. “The future is an optimized all-digital process, which will be operated according to the timetable of citizens and agency clients, not according to the working hours of the agency.”

He also shared his thoughts on the “Pandemic Federal Telecommuting Act” proposed by the Senate and the possible mixed work methods adopted by various agencies.
