Britain’s best working company based on employee feedback has been announced for 2022.
The list was compiled by Great Place to Work-a workplace culture organization that reviews hundreds of employee surveys to bring up rankings.
The annual guide identifies the best small, medium, large and massive businesses in the country, with a total of 290 companies of various sizes included for this year.
Benedict Gautrey, managing director of Great Place to Work UK, said the second year of the pandemic had “greatly highlighted” people’s different experiences at work.
“From women who often carry child care responsibilities when schools are closed, to young people who work from home without proper equipment or space, some groups of people in society is less affected, ”he said.
“The same goes for various sectors. Many of those industries that easily transitioned to homeworking arrangements have thrived, while those forced to restrict operations have struggled and need to adapt. The differences that can be made by strong leadership and a culture driven by shared values and a sense of purpose in organizations are clear. “
Mr Gautrey said Great Places to Work had seen “dramatic changes” in UK companies in awareness of integration and diversity issues, and in the environment over the past year. He also said employees expect more equity, transparency, flexibility and purpose in their work.
“Whatever life throws at businesses, hard leadership is needed,” he added.
Great Place to Work has surveyed over 100 million employees worldwide since 1992 and used the insights to identify what elements make a good workplace.
