The Internal Revenue Service has issued a request for information on potential sources of the information technology services industry as the IRS plans to launch a procurement effort for the second iteration of the Integrated Enterprise Portal program.
The IRS uses the IEP contract to secure application development, operations, hosting and security services for more than 90 business applications that are typically used during the annual tax filing period and are intended to provide of a new contract in services managed by EIP IT in the second or third quarter of fiscal year 2023, according to an RFI notice published on Monday.
The agency said the current IEP vendor provides hosting, application development and related services under a potential eight-year, $ 692 million indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract awarded in 2017.
The agency is also seeking information on potential vendors who can provide project and program management, technical analysis and system integration support to integrate modernized business platforms with the IRS.
“Such support is required in all dimensions of the IEP 2.0 Program, including developing and supporting the deployment of new applications and innovations to meet the emerging IRS taxpayer services,” the RFI said.
Interested stakeholders should respond to questions on several topics, including service-level goals that will help the IRS effectively manage service performance and ways that can allow the agency to monitor and allocate managed services. application -level IEP services.
RFI responses are set for January 19th.
