Vonage has upgraded its UCaaS and CCaaS video platforms so that users can seamlessly transition to a video meeting with one click.
Users of the UC offering vendor, Vonage Business Communications (VBC), can reproduce video calls from web-based apps such as spreadsheets or project plans via an air embedded dialer powered by Vonage APIs.
Meanwhile, users of Vonage’s CCaaS platform, the Vonage Contact Center (VCC), can amplify video interactions within platforms such as Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics, ServiceNow and Zendesk.
Savinay Berry, EVP of Product and Engineering at Vonagesaid: “At a time when staying connected is more important than ever, but not so easy to do in person, video has become a critical communication channel.
“Using the Vonage Communications Platform, we are innovating in unified communications and contact center applications to create better ways to communicate, connect and interact. Switching from voice to SMS to a web app to video in one click, to a VBC or VCC app “
Earlier this week, Vonage launched Interactive Broadcast with Experience Composer, allowing users to have more interactive and customizable virtual events.
Vonage can now support events with up to 15,000 participants interacting in real-time. Previously, its multiparty video had a maximum capacity of 5,000.
It said the software allows for programmable video streams, overlays, real-time audience interaction and application UX elements. Sessions can be broadcast to live audiences and recorded for future playback.
