GeorgiaCIO has announced the winners of its 2022 CIO of the Year® ORBIE® Awards. GeorgiaCIO recognizes chief information officers in seven key categories – Super Global, Global, Large Enterprise, Enterprise, Large Corporate, Corporate, and Healthcare. The awards were presented at the Georgia CIO ORBIE Awards at the Cobb Galleria.
“Every organization relies on technology, but strong leadership is the X-factor that can turn mundane IT into a remarkable strategic differentiator,” said Brandon Van Orden, GeorgiaCIO Chair. “The ORBIE Awards are significant because they are judged by peers – CIOs who understand the challenges of technology leadership.”
The 2022 Georgia CIO ORBIE Award winners are:
›› Jean Holley, Director of the Board, HERC Holdings Inc and Accord Financial Corp. received a Lifetime Achievement Award.
›› Vijay Raghavan, EVP and CTO, Lexis Nexis Risk Solutions Group received the Super Global ORBIE for organizations over $3 billion in annual revenue and multi-national operations.
›› Daniel Volk, SVP, CIO, Crawford and Company received the Global ORBIE for organizations over $1 billion in annual revenue and multi-national operations.
›› Mike Guhl, CIO, HD Supply received the Large Enterprise ORBIE for organizations over $2 billion in annual revenue.
›› Received by Dr. Tim Chester, VP for IT, University of Georgia Enterprise ORBIE for organizations over $1 billion in annual revenue.
›› Scott Waid, SVP, Chief Technology Officer, Atlanta Braves National League Baseball Club received the Large Corporate ORBIE for organizations with $400 million in annual revenue.
›› Elizabeth Hoemeke, CIO, One Inc received Corporate ORBIE for organizations up to $400 million in annual revenue.

The CIO of the Year ORBIE Awards is the leading technology executive recognition program in the United States.
